Dorothy Winifred Davey
Dorothy Winifred Davey, 93, of Pictou, passed away May 5, 2007, at home. Born in Montague, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Oswald and Angusema (Singleton) Campbell.
She was a faithful member of Pictou United Church.
A dedicated homemaker, Dorothy devoted her life to family. She is survived by daughters: Gwen Johnson, Red Wing, Minnesota; Judy (Rollie) MacDonald, Pictou; Linda (Al) Tucker, Pictou; Beth (Winston) Clements, High Bank, PEI; Carolyn Moore, Pictou; son, Grant, Moncton; daughter-in-law, Diane (Davey) Chiasson, Caribou; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and also predeceased by her husband, Captain Leon Davey; sons, Bruce, Alan in infancy; and grandchildren, Juanita and Perry.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Pictou United Church with Mary-Beth Moriarity officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall.
Graveside committal service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in Murray Harbour Cemetery, PEI.
Donations in her memory may be made to the VON or the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
