HILL, Lloyd Murray
HILL, Lloyd Murray - 86, a resident of Pictou, passed away September 12, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
He was born in St. Peter's, Cape Breton, and was a son of the late John Hill and Annie (Murray) Hill.
He was a member of Pictou United Church, the Royal Canadian Legion and the Independent Order of Oddfellows.
Lloyd was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in Canada and England as a wireless air gunner with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
He was employed for the latter part of his career with the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Lloyd is survived by his second wife, Opal, Ontario; sons, Jack (Pam), Parrsboro; Murray (Cathy), Pictou, and Don (June), Lyons Brook; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Carol (McCunn); brother, George, and twin sister, Elizabeth.
Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 14, at 3 p.m. in Pictou United Church, Rev. Mary-Beth Moriarity officiating. Interment in Seaview Cemetery.
