Come worship and laugh with us!

Did you hear the one about? – and so started Holy Humour Sunday, the lst Sunday in the Season of Easter.
Greeting the congregation were Mary and Granville Miller and Steward was Bill MacLellan. Lay Leaders…ALL of US! Rev. Moriarity, the Sunday school and congregation all shared their funny stories and jokes throughout the service.
During a Moment for All, Rev. Moriarity shared a funny story involving her love for cats.
We were reminded that even though worship is serious, serious should never mean without joy and laughter.
Hymns sung were Joy Comes with the Dawn, Shout for God!; Sing a Happy Hallelujah, Lord of the Dance and Give to Us Laughter.
Scripture reading was selected verses from the Book of Proverbs with some modern proverbs and food for thought.
Covenanting with Elders and the UCW Officers also took place.
A sung choral blessing, the choir offered “Christ Be With You”.
