Place Fear in God’s Hands

Pictou – Greeting the congregation were Brad and Mary MacCallum, steward was Brian Burris.
This week’s bulletin was dedicated in loving memory of Wilfred Wallis by the Wallis family.
Lighting the Christ Candle and Call to Worship was by Robbie Falconer.
Time with the children - Mike Simmons showed a cookbook and read ingredients for a recipe then he showed a bible and said this is the best cookbook. As it gives us life, it shows us how to live each day to be nice people, to be kind, to treat people with love to get love. He asked them to make a point to do something nice each day. Children shared a prayer before going on to Sunday school.
Hebrew Scripture Isaiah 49:8-16a and Responsive Psalm 131 were read by Brian Burris.
Meditation “Fear Not” Mr. Simmons explained how the scriptures tell us not to worry, that we spend too much time worrying about tomorrow, that we do not know what tomorror holds and that it will look after itself. Do not be afraid, live today to the fullest and to place fear in God’s hands.
Ministry of music performed by the choir was Amazing Grace.
Congregation was reminded of the upcoming memorial sing to be held during regular service Sunday June 15th at 10:30 AM.
