White Gift Drama – Michael Mouse – I gave him ME

Pictou - Greeting the congregation were Harris and Gayle MacKenzie and Steward was Nancy Steele.
The congregation began today’s service with heavy hearts having learned of the passing of Rev. Gordon MacLean. Prayers and thoughts were offered by the congregation and Rev. Moriarity to Rev. MacLean’s family.
Hearts lifted on this third Sunday of Advent and our White Gift Sunday as the candle of Joy was lit by Alana and Taylor Toole.
Another tier was added to the “Canstruction” Christmas tree which will be completed next Sunday.
The reading today was based on Luke 1:26-38 “Mary Learns About Her Baby”.
The Sunday School presented the White Gift Drama – “Michael Mouse – I gave him ME, as long as he needed me”, narrated by Dorothy Bush with the Sunday School children outfitted as the animals on their way to the manger with their gifts for the baby Jesus during which the congregation joined the choir in singing carols.
Ministry of Music by the choir was “The Wondrous Story”.
