MACKEAN, Isabel Dorothy "Belle"
PICTOU - MACKEAN, Isabel Dorothy "Belle" 93, of Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou, and formerly of Caribou River, Pictou Co., passed away January 9, 2009, in the home.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (Cameron) Pope.
She was a homemaker, an excellent cook, and she enjoyed spending time with grandchildren who stopped by after school every day on their way home when growing up.
She is survived by son, James MacKean (Sherry), British Columbia; grandchildren, Robert MacKean III (Kathleen English), Caribou River; Scott MacKean (Tammy), Holland Landing, Ont.; Audrey MacKean, British Columbia. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert MacKean Sr.; son, Robert MacKean Jr.; daughter, Janet MacKean; sister, Jean Decoste.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou, with Rev. Mary Beth Moriarity officiating.
Burial will be in Haliburton Cemetery.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
