World Development and Relief
by Angie Burns-Burrell
Pictou United - Greeters were David and Angie Burrell. Steward was David Steele.
M & S enthusiast was Margaret Anne Dodson.
Lighting the Christ Candle was Amelia Parker.
Worship this morning highlighted the work and ministry of “The World Development and Relief Fund”.
During a moment for all Rev. Moriarty showed the Sunday school a world globe with a bandage wrapped around it and talked about how we can help other parts of the world where people are hurting and how we can bring God’s spirit to them.
During Reflections, Rev. Moriarity talked about how sometimes risks are necessary to bring about change in the world and how our desires to have more often mean that others have less.
Ministry of Music “Goin Up Yonder” was presented by the choir.
Members of the Pastoral Care & Outreach Committee led us in the Call to Worship, New Testament Lesson and the Gospel Lesson.
