Holy Moments at Pictou United

PICTOU UNITED CHURCH - As we gathered on February 22nd for transfiguration Sunday, greeting the congregation were Wanda and Brad Theriault, steward was David Steele. Lighting the Christ Candle and call to worship was done by Emily Cyr.
Time with the children talked about the past year at Pictou United Church, how it was a great place and had great people involved. A slide show was shown of events over the past year.
Brad MacCallum read the Gospel Lesson Mark 9:2-9.
Reflections today asked the question, "What for you has been a 'Holy Moment' of the past year?" Members of the congregation stood and shared what for them has been a Holy Moment. Now as we look forward to the coming year and celebrate who we are and whose we are, we ask what the Holy is inviting us to do and be in the year to come.
Ministry of Music was shared by the choir as they sang “Come Follow Me”.
The congregation gathered for their annual Chicken Burger Lunch and then the 84th Annual Congregational Meeting following service.
