Special thanks were extended by Rev. Moriarity to Stewart Munro our organist who is leaving along with his wife Susan to teach in China. A gift of appreciation and “special notes” of well wishes were also presented by Brad MacCallum on behalf of the congregation and choir to Stewart, he will be missed.
A Reminder that Fun Script orders will go in on Sunday the 31rst.
Join us this Sunday @ 10:30 in celebration of Pentecost Sunday as we celebrate the gift of God’s spirit and the birthday of the church. Wear something red the color of Pentecost.

“What’s love got to do with it?"
by Sharon Cheverie
PICTOU UNIITED CHURCH - Greeters were Harris & Gayle MacKenzie, steward was Bev Simmons.
Mission Moment was shared by Mike Simmons.
Lighting the Christ Candle was Jack Marshall.
Call to Worship was lead by Chloe Marshall.
Time with the children was a discussion held over a basket of lollipops. The children and congregation were asked which color they liked or didn’t like and how we can tend to be picky. Rev. Mary-Beth Moriarity pointed out how sometimes this happens with people and they are treated different as a result and this is not a good thing. We have to listen to people and get to know them. God would want everyone to feel important or loved.
New Testament Lesson and Gospel Lesson were read by June Cameron.
During reflections Rev. Moriarity asked “What’s love got to do with it”? To which the answer is “everything”. Love is what unites us to God, to one another and to the world. Love being a commandment, a requirement as people of faith. Ultimate love should be our concern for others.
A thank-you was extended to David and Angie Burrell and Jim Parker for hosting “Second Cup Sunday” this morning.
Please join us next Sunday at 10:30 AM for a special celebration of music.
